Please note that if you request access to your Personal Data other than through our Websites, you may be charged a fee subject to a maximum set by applicable law. We may not accommodate a request to erase information if we believe the deletion would violate any law or legal requirement or cause the information to be incorrect. In all other cases, we will retain your Personal Data as set forth in this policy. In addition, we cannot completely delete your Personal Data as some data may rest in previous backups.
You have the right to lodge a complaint with the applicable supervisory authority in the country you live in, the country you work in, or the country where you believe your rights under applicable data protection laws have been violated. However, before doing so, we request that you contact us directly in order to give us an opportunity to work directly with you to resolve any concerns about your privacy.
How You May Exercise Your Rights. You may exercise any of the above rights by contacting us through any of the methods below. We may ask you for additional information to verify your identity. We reserve the right to limit or deny your request if you have failed to provide sufficient information to verify your identity or to satisfy our legal and business requirements.
At this time, TreeHouse is not required to appoint a Data Protection Officer or a representative in the EU, and has elected not to do so.
There is currently no common industry or legal standard for interpreting Do Not Track (“DNT”) signals sent from browsers. Therefore, our Website currently does not recognize if your browser sends a DNT signal or similar mechanism to indicate you do not wish to be tracked across websites.
Please be aware that the Website may contain links to other sites on the Internet that are owned and operated by third parties. This includes links to our third-party service provider that operates and manages the Careers portion of our Website. TreeHouse is not responsible for the privacy policies of third party websites to which it links. If you provide any information to such third parties, different rules regarding the collection and use of your personal information may apply. TreeHouse takes appropriate steps to ensure data privacy and security including through various hardware and software methodologies. However, TreeHouse cannot guarantee the security of any information that is disclosed online. There is no guarantee that information may not be accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed by a breach of any of our physical, technical, or managerial security measures. Please note that emails and other communications you send to us through our Website are not encrypted, and we strongly advise you not to communicate any confidential information through these means.
Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we do our best to protect your Personal Data, we cannot guarantee the security of your Personal Data transmitted to our Website. Any transmission of Personal Data is at your own risk. We are not responsible for circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures contained on the Website.
If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (“EEA”), in order to provide our Websites, products, and services to you, we send and store your Personal Data outside of the EEA, including to the United States. Accordingly, your Personal Data may be transferred outside the country where you reside or are located, including to countries that may not or do not provide an adequate level of protection for your Personal Data.
TreeHouse provides EU individuals with the right (i) to access their personal data, (ii) to choose to limit the use and disclosure of their personal data, and (iii) to invoke, under certain conditions, binding arbitration. TreeHouse complies with the Privacy Shield Principles for all onward transfers of personal data from the EU to third parties and is bound by the relevant onward transfer liability provisions.
TreeHouse may use, disclose and otherwise process human resources data collected from current, past, and future employees, workers, contractors, consultants, attorneys and agents in the EU. Business purposes for which personal information are processed are general employment purposes including, by way of mere example: (1) management and operations of the Company, (2) communications, (3) keeping updated information and maintaining a global directory, (4) carrying out obligations under employment contracts, (5) managing any aspect of the employment relationship (recruiting, hiring, verifying references, training, assessing qualifications, assessing and managing performance, determining and paying compensation or benefits), (6) managing termination process and (7) processing and investigating reports under the Company’s Code of Ethics. TreeHouse may use, disclose and otherwise process EU customers’ and suppliers’ personal data in the context of managing its business relationship as well as EU website visitors’ personal data for the purposes described at previous paragraph “Use and disclosure of information.” We are committed to protecting the privacy and confidentiality of personal information when it is transferred to the extent feasible under applicable law and in consideration of our adhesion to the Privacy Shield Principles.
TreeHouse may disclose personal information concerning EU residents to non-EU third parties only as long as such non-EU third parties are listed in the Privacy Shield list and comply with the Privacy Shield Principles. The purposes for disclosing such personal information to non-EU third parties are to elaborate payrolls and other employment related issues.

TreeHouse commits to cooperate with EU data protection authorities (DPAs) and comply with the advice given by such authorities with regard to human resources data transferred from the EU in the context of the employment relationship.
TreeHouse has further committed to cooperate with the panel established by the EU data protection authorities (DPAs) with regard to unresolved Privacy Shield complaints concerning human resources data transferred from the EU in the context of the employment relationship.
TreeHouse is subject to the investigatory and enforcement powers of the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and can be required to disclose personal information in response to lawful requests by public authorities, including to meet national security or law enforcement requirements.
TreeHouse does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 18. Children are not permitted to use the Website or services, and TreeHouse requests that children under the age of 18 not submit any personal information to the Website. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under the age of 18, we will promptly delete that information.
