CHICAGO, August 24, 2005 - TreeHouse Foods, Inc. (NYSE:THS) announced today that effective August 29th Joe Coning will become President of its Bay Valley Foods unit headquartered in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Coning replaces the long time President of Bay Valley Foods, Jim Greisinger, who was elected by the TreeHouse Board of Directors as a Senior Vice President of TreeHouse. In his new position Jim Greisinger will focus primarily on acquisitions.

Sam K. Reed, Chairman & CEO of TreeHouse said, “We are excited to have Joe Coning assume the leadership of Bay Valley Foods. I have known Joe a long time and know that he will be a great fit with the Bay Valley team. And, I am thrilled that Jim Greisinger will be joining TreeHouse. His industry knowledge is extraordinary and will be invaluable as we pursue acquisitions that leverage the Bay Valley platform.”

Coning has a 34 year history in the food industry with extensive private label, industrial and contract packing experience. Most recently he was with the Kellogg Company as Vice President of Contract Packing and Custom Sales and prior to that President of Kellogg’s Bake Line Products business unit. Before joining Kellogg he was President of Mondo Baking, a Georgia-based snack food manufacturer.

“I am extremely excited to be joining TreeHouse as the President of Bay Valley Foods,” said Coning. “The long history of success at Bay Valley is a great foundation from which we can build upon. I have gotten to know Jim Greisinger and look forward to working closely with him on our transition.”
